Escort estimate
Calculated separately from permits.Estimates for planning only. Routes follow the main interstate network; smaller towns (about 29,000 US cities are searchable) connect by local roads to the nearest major hub. Routes are not state-approved permit routes. Permit fees use each state DOT's published schedule where marked DOT rate; others are estimates built from the state's base fee. Escort costs are an estimate from your per-mile rate, and trailer rate levels ($ to $$$$$) are relative estimates, not market rates. Police escorts, route surveys, utility line lifts and bridge studies are billed separately. Confirm every move with the state permit office before dispatch.
Mention the item and how it loads — e.g. "frozen chicken, 22 pallets", "steel I-beams 60 ft", "wheel loader".
All trailer options
Checked against this cargo. Overall height = deck height + cargo height.| Equipment | Fit | Deck ht | Max cargo (permit) | Overall H | Gross | Rate level | Permit status |

State regulations
Oversize / overweight rules for the lower 48 states. Select a state to open it.
Toll roads & restricted crossings
Turnpikes and tunnels that limit oversize loads. The planner keeps a load off any facility that would refuse it.Figures are compiled from state DOT regulations and toll-authority commercial permit pages (Sept 2026) and summarized for planning. Permit weights depend on axle spacing, tire width and route, and are set on each permit. Toll authorities permit separately from the state and can close a facility to a load on short notice. Confirm with the state permit office and the toll authority before dispatch.

What gets you a faster number
- Real dimensions of the cargo itself — length, width, height and weight, not the trailer.
- How it loads and unloads: drives on, crane, forklift, dock.
- Pickup and delivery cities, and the date it has to move.
- Anything already arranged — permits pulled, escorts booked, appointment set.
